Reviving Nandi culture and heritage for innovation, sustainability and economic empowerment

Rooted in Nandi indigenous intelligence, we engineer the present by bridging ancient epistemology with artificial intelligence, scientific rigor and sovereign enterprise.

Taach Soboon means “embrace life” in the Nandi language.

The Core Philosophy

We are born of a sacred unbroken thread that listens to winds on the green hills, knows the rhythm of the soil, the voice of the forests and calculates constellations. We carry the ancient fire boldly into the present times.

Why we stand here

The Nandi People knew how to honor the earth, read the cosmos and solve problems together under the Emdit (African Olive) tree. Taach Soboon seeks to revive these indigenous knowledge systems and engineer them in today’s world.

Our sacred footprints

  • The Land

Ancestral farming, intercropped indigenous foods and native seeds for nutrient-dense harvests.

  • The Healing

Our trees and herbs, validated by rigorous science, for an independent herbal enterprise.

  • The Hands

Food preparation and preservation, craftsmanship and acoustic heritage as climate-resilient livelihoods.

  • The Gathering

Kokwet age-set circles and elder-youth mentorship that pass knowledge down directly.

Restoring the dignity of a people who know who they are

The erasure of Nandi indigenous knowledge, ecological degradation, chemical-dependent food and the loss of authentic Nandi acoustics have left generations disconnected from their identity and cultural pride.

Who we serve

The Nandi community, centering elders, women (single mothers and widows), persons with disabilities and youth.

  • Food heritage

Traditional food preservation and cooking, toward nutritional sovereignty.

  • Craftsmanship

Gourd making, woodwork, pottery and basketry as climate-resilient livelihoods.

  • Nandi acoustics

Ethnomusicology, performance, folklore, dance, griots and storytelling.

  • Ancient rhythms translated for the younger generation, including an indigenous Nandi ethno-orchestra in early development.
  • Indigenous entrepreneurship that drives gender-balanced economic empowerment.

Portrait of Jerotich Kosgey

Jerotich is dedicated to proving that the future of the Nandi people does not require Western validation.

Over a dozen years in molecular virology, outbreak response and laboratory systems across sub-Saharan Africa, including high-containment work during the West Africa Ebola crisis.

She bridges modern science and Nandi ancestral philosophy, and protects the knowledge held by women elders and herbalists, the custodians of Nandi ecological knowledge.
